Control Your Mind Using Hypnosis

Various people claim to be able to control their minds using hypnosis and in some instances may bear this out, however the reality according to certified hypnotists, is that a person’s mind cannot be under full control as it is difficult to hypnotize someone against their will.

Since history was first recorded, mankind has attempted methods to control how others think and subsequently act, and not all of it has been for good. Brainwashing, often mistaken for a method to control minds using hypnosis, has generally been associated with so-called cults as leaders used subliminal messages in an attempt to exert control over others’ thinking.

Experts explain hypnosis as a simple process of gaining access to a person’s subconscious mind, bypassing the usually negative conscious, which acknowledges reality as it is. The subconscious does not always hold the same thoughts and is more open to suggestions as they relate to a different reality. In theory, a person should be able to control their mind using hypnosis to enter the subject’s subconscious.

Imbedded Thoughts Fight Off Control

However, being able to place thoughts into someone’s subconscious is not as easy as dangling a bright object in front of their eyes and telling them they are getting sleepy. There has to be a reason for a person’s subconscious to accept the suggestions as a new reality before someone can control their mind using hypnosis. Entering someone’s subconscious and leaving the thought that they are a non-smoker is being used successfully to help people Quit Smoking.

However, if you were able to completely control your mind using hypnosis, the success rate would most likely be higher than the current 65 percent. That indicates that either 35 percent of those undergoing hypnosis to Quit Smoking were not able to accept the subconscious suggestion, or the hypnotists were not able to control minds using hypnosis.

There are many people who make the claim that they cannot be hypnotized, and that may appear true on the surface, but what it may mean is that those folks may need a different method of entering a totally relaxed state to allow a hypnotist to pass their conscious mind.

Typically, a person who has difficulty being hypnotized is reluctant to allow someone else to control their mind using hypnosis techniques mostly out of fear of losing that control, or due to irrational fears of what they may do or say while hypnotized.

Black Ops Hypnosis

Filed Under (Black Ops Hypnosis, Covert, Hypnosis, Hypnotism General) by Dane on 29-07-2007

Black Ops Hypnosis is a type of Covert Hypnosis. It is a combination of four different fields of persuasion. The idea behind Black Ops Hypnosis is an immediate, yet unrecognizable, induction. A person usually is unaware they are being persuaded by Black Ops Hypnosis when someone is performing it on them. As with any hypnosis, the motivation behind Black Ops Hypnosis should not be one of control or malicious manipulation.

The Fields of Persuasion

Black Ops Hypnosis is a combination of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), seduction, hypnosis and social engineering. NLP are techniques that work to change the way a person thinks or perceives things. Hypnosis is the technique of shutting off a person’s conscious mind and revealing their sub conscious. It also uses the power of suggestion to influence the person's actions while under hypnosis. Seduction is getting someone to do something. Social engineering is using psychological manipulation on a person. These four fields combined make up Black Ops Hypnosis.

The Basic Idea

The goal of Black Ops Hypnosis is to persuade and influence a person without their knowledge. It is done through general conversation following some basic guidelines. The idea is for the person performing the hypnosis to carry on a basic conversation with the subject. Through a series of suggestions and careful persuasion they can alter a persons thoughts or feelings. Most people who have experienced Black Ops Hypnosis have no idea they were ever hypnotized.

Black Ops Hypnosis techniques are something new but the basic ideas behind it are not. The four fields that make up this type of hypnosis are all well known and used techniques. However, in Black Ops Hypnosis these fields combine to make new techniques that make it possible to hypnotize a person without their knowledge through general conversation. This is why it is so unique.

As with any hypnotism, it is required that a person not use it to cause harm to others. This type of control and persuasion can be dangerous if a person is not responsible. It is fairly underground right now and it is something that has been kept secret. However, teachers are emerging that are willing to share the secret. A person wanting to learn more should try searching for one of these teachers or reading some of the books that are currently on the market. It is an advanced form of hypnosis, though, so a person should really have some basic knowledge about general hypnosis before they start working with Black Ops Hypnosis.

Simple Hypnosis Connections

Filed Under (Covert, Hypnosis, Hypnotism How To) by Dane on 26-07-2007

ENTERTAINMENT hypnotists love to make hypnosis look dark and mysterious and complicated. They love to pretend that they have special powers that no-one else possesses.

I love to make things bright and clear and open, and I do not claim any special powers.

In this first chapter I am going to ask you to try out various things and to think about them. These things are simple and everyday, and will turn out to be not at all mysterious, and yet they are a foundation on which much of hypnosis is built.

Words can trigger pictures in your mind.

This must seem a pretty obvious fact. You need only think of reading a novel and remember the pictures that come to mind as you do so to realize the obvious truth of this. But it is still worth doing a little exercise on it, as follows.

First just think to yourself, "I am on holiday." STOP NOW; did you see a picture of it in your mind? People vary, but it is unlikely, in the very short time I allowed you, that you saw anything very clearly.

Now allow yourself more TIME. Think, "I am on holiday." Pause. "It is my favorite kind of place." Pause. "The weather is just how I like it." Pause. "I am wearing my favorite clothes." Pause. "I am doing my very favorite thing." Pause. "I am on holiday!"

In all probability that extra time was repaid by a very much more vivid picture or pictures in the mind. But it is best, especially if you are a student of

    hypnosis

, to get someone else to do the same thing, perhaps with you saying the words: "Picture yourself on holiday." Pause. "It is your favorite kind of weather." etc.

In this way you will discover for yourself the fact that people can have quite different degrees of clarity of picture, and the pictures themselves can be quite different. I, for example, usually manage only rather washed out images.

The conclusions I would expect you to be able to agree with, after some experience, are the following simple ones.

1) Words can lead to pictures in the mind.

2) It takes a little time for them to arise.

3) The time taken and their nature varies from person to person.

As a next little exercise explore the extent to which words can directly affect muscles without going via the usual volitional process of willing an action.

Hold your arms straight ahead of you with the palms facing each other and a couple of centimeters apart. Look at the gap and say "Close… Close… Close…" repeatedly at a comfortable speed.

A typical result is that over a period of a minute or so the hands do move together until they touch. To check this try it on other people (for students it is essential that you do). In that case you can speak the words as you both watch the hands.

In this way you will discover that there is again a range of responses. An average closure time is a couple of minutes. In some people it will happen in seconds. In others nothing seems to happen before you run out of patience. Occasionally someone will resist and there will develop a trembling in the arms as one set of muscles acts to pull the hands together and another acts to separate them. Another rarer response is for the hands to fly apart. But in each case you or your friends should find a strange feeling of things happening which are not willed.

The conclusions I would expect you to be able to agree with are the following simple ones.

1) Words can lead directly to muscular action.

2) It takes a little time for this to happen.

3) The time taken and the nature varies from person to person.

4) It makes little difference who is saying the words.

The Art of Hypnosis Induction

Filed Under (Hypnotism General, Hypnotism How To) by Dane on 20-07-2007

Hypnosis is a technique that is used to allow one person to effect another person through their sub conscious mind. Hypnosis is most often done by first inducing a person or shutting down their conscious mind.

Once under hypnosis induction a person can be made to do things, say things and even change their way of thinking or feeling about things. Hypnosis has many practical uses form therapy to helping people Quit Smoking and to Lose Weight.

The Bottom Line of Induction

Hypnosis induction should not be scripted, although many times scripted inductions are used. It is the job of the hypnotist to ensure the induction is more conversational then demanding or scripted. By making the hypnosis induction conversational it is more likely a person will fall under induction quickly and easily.

Another important part of hypnosis induction is that the hypnotist must be able to recognize when the person is in a trance. This will vary from person to person.

Some people fall under easier than other, but regardless, the hypnotist must be able to recognize the signs. This will help them know if their induction technique is working or if they need to try something else. Not all inductions will work for everyone.

The Basics of Inductions

Generally speaking hypnosis induction follows a simple format. It begins with having the subject relax and clear their mind. Relaxation is crucial and part of the idea behind the induction is to get the subject into that super relaxed state where their sub conscious mind can overcome their conscious mind.

Induction goes on with helping the person relax until they are in a trance. Once in a trance the subject is often tested by the hypnotist telling them they can not do something simple, such as raise their arm. The subject will try but can not do it. This indicates the subject is now under the influence of hypnosis.

There really is no clear cut way of performing

    hypnosis

induction. It will vary based upon the hypnotist and the subject as everyone differs. What works one day may not work the next. It is all up to the skills of the hypnotist and the open mind of the subject. The basic ideas, though, will remain the same.

The induction should flow like a natural conversation, the subject needs to get to a relaxed state and the hypnotist must be able to recognize when the subject is in a trance. The actual words spoken really do not matter if they accomplish the ultimate goal of inducing hypnosis.

Crimes Committed By Hypnotism

Filed Under (Hypnotism General) by Dane on 13-07-2007

There have never been any crimes committed by hypnotism, but there are of course the many rumors circling around the hypnotism community of hypnosis not being used for good, but as a means of manipulating people into giving away money or other precious items.

It's Not That Hard To Be Irresponsible

Crimes committed by hypnotism would not be very hard to organize and achieve, especially if the hypnotist is question is well trained and knows what he or she is doing. All it takes is for a hypnotist to use a simple hypnotherapy technique to push a person into a submissive state from which they would find it easy to ask for whatever they want, money, jewelry, anything!

For the average person who knows very little about hypnosis, they would be an easy target for a malicious hypnotist. The mind is an amazing thing and people these days believe anything you tell them. All it takes is a person with a strong resolve to administer a technique that could force a person into a subconscious state.

Once in this state they could then manipulate the subconscious and once the person is out of the trance they were in, the hypnotist could then use the anchors he placed on them and force them to do whatever he or she wants.

It's a wonder why we haven't heard of any crimes committed by hypnotism, maybe the criminal hypnotist hypnotized the people who knew about it!

Protecting Yourself From Crimes Committed By Hypnotism

There is a way to prevent crimes committed by hypnotism from happening to you. One technique is called the 'watchful eye'. This works by automatically forcing you not to slip into a subconscious state by being fully aware of the conversion around you. Nothing slips through the conscious mind and because of this, you won't ever be subjected to hypnosis, unless of course you want to be.

This requires a lot of training and you can do it during everyday life. Next time you're talking to someone, really listen to the words they are saying. Don't just sit back and wait for your turn to speak, listen to the words they say and the way they say it. Are they inadvertently manipulating you into believing their side of the story or are they just conversing with you?

They will also react better to you and want to listen to what you have to say. It's a surefire defense mechanism to the next criminal hypnotist that comes your way!
