Hypnotherapy is using hypnosis for treating chronic pain, anxiety and addiction or any other physical and mental conditions you want to get out of. This is done by using relaxing exercises, which will put you in a trance like state of mind by a trained hypnotist or a hypnotherapist. In this state you are deeply focused and highly responsive to ideas or images.

At the start of hypnotherapy, the therapist will ask you informal questions about the conditions or the medical history for which you are seeking hypnotherapy. The therapist will then explain how the therapy is going to be carried out and explain that it will happen only at your free will.

After deciding the necessary course of action, the therapist will gently guide you to a relaxed state and gives suggestions aiming to alleviate your condition or behavior. You will be taught the skills of self hypnosis so that you can relax at your will any time you experience these symptoms in the future. You may be given a video or audiotape for future use. You can recreate the experience during the session with the help of it on your own.

At any time during the session you feel uncomfortable and want the session to be stopped, you will be alert enough to do so.

At the end of the session you are free to ask questions or discuss any experiences while you were in the traced state.

Actually the therapist is only helping you find the immense hidden power of your own mind to put things right for you. You can achieve any thing, get rid of any fear or obstacle, or be anything you want to be by the absolute power of your mind.
You begin to notice improvement within 4 to 10 sessions. Your therapist will evaluate the progress with you from time to time.
Hypnotherapy can be used in all areas of medical therapy. It is effective in reducing the fear and anxiety people experience during surgery, dental procedure, or during labor. It reduces the recovery time after surgery. It can even replace pain medications or cut down the dosage.
Children can be easily hypnotized. Children when brought to the emergency room are found to be more cooperative with the staff and much less anxious when hypnotized. Hypnotherapy works well for children who are obese, who has anxiety problems, asthma, and with problems like sleep walking, bed wetting, and nail biting and fecal incontinence.
Hypnotherapy can be used to rejuvenate your body and mind in all the medical and mental health areas. It really unleashes the hidden power of your mind to cure you from anything at all.
